Exclamatory

Exclamatory sentences show strong emotion. They always end with an exclamation point. Consider the following examples:

I can’t believe you saved him!

John has all the best cards!

I never want to talk to you again!

All of these exclamatory sentences end with an exclamation point. They show strong emotion, such as surprise, excitement, and anger. Remember that exclamatory sentences are rarely used in formal writing.
