Nouns as Adjectives

Sometimes, nouns can function as adjectives that describe other nouns.

For example: plasma TV, alphabet soup, flower patch, apple tree, vegetable garden

Usually, plasma, alphabet, flower, apple, and vegetable are all nouns. However, in these cases, they are functioning as adjectives; they are describing TV, soup, patch, tree, and garden.
